Hadhrat  Mufti Taqi Sahib has issued the following fatwa:

THE PERILS OF THE ONLINE WORLD. LET US STOP DELUDING OURSELVES.

‘One of the major sinful involvement of our era is viewing the sexually explicit material online. May Allah protect us all from it. Ameen!

It is haraam (impermissible) for a person to have an Internet connection and computer devices if he cannot keep himself from viewing these material online.Throw them away!  This is an essential spiritual struggle (mujahidah) to gain Allah’s pleasure.” 26 Ramadan 1437/2 July 2016, Masjid Dar ul Uloom Karachi. (End of Fatwa)

OUR COMMENT

Mufti Taqi Sahib should take the liability of the sins of millions of Muslims for whom he had  widely opened the avenue of pornography by issuing his baatil, corrupt opinion of the permissibility of video and digital pictures of animate objects. He is responsible for the ruin of the Akhlaaq of innumerable juhala Muslims and so-called molvis who are worse than even the juhala.

The one who initiates a fitnah will have to bear the colossal and terrible burden of the sins of all those who indulge in that fitnah which he had initiated. It is now too late for the statement of condemnation of ‘sexually explicit material’. It is now of no effect to say that such porn on the internet is haraam? It is of no benefit to say “Throw them away!” The addicts of pornography will not throw the computers away.

Mufti Taqi Sahib has addicted them to the porn which once upon a time they had not dared to view. May Allah Ta’ala save us from the traps of shaitaan – Talbeesul Iblees.  May Allah Ta’ala save us from the evil lurking in our nafs – evil which the Ulama of the era present in ‘deeni’ hues.

Mufti Taqi Sahib and ourselves are on the threshold of Maut (Death) which is stalking us  every moment. The Qabr calls on us five times a day: “I am an abode of sand! I am an abode of darkness! I am an abode of worms (and scorpions and snakes, etc.)! I am an abode of torment!, etc.”

Muftis who  have deflected the masses from Siraatul Mustaqeem with their baatil, haraam and corrupt fatwas, should  reflect on Maut and the Qabr as all of us are required to do. There is not much time left  for life to end.

Mufti Taqi’s only succour now is to make valid amends by issuing a massive retraction of his baatil fatwa and then go on a campaign to denounce pictography which is the fundamental basis and root of the pornography which he now says is haraam.

Our evil will live and haunt us into the Grave and into Qiyaamah. Reckless production of corrupt/baatil ‘fatwas’ which open the gateway for fitnah, fasaad, fisq and fujoor which are all the stepping stones for kufr, is the height of satanic irresponsibility displayed by the muftis of this era. A Mufti is required to constantly hover between Jannat and Jahannam when he is about to issue a fatwa. And, this has greater applicability when the Mufti Sahib is in the twilight of life, on the verge of meeting Allah Azza Wa Jal. If this is not his attitude, he will be rudely shocked when suddenly Malakul Maut stands in his presence.

The burden of the sins of the masses shall have to be carried by the Mufti who had opened the avenue for fisq and fujoor thereby issuing a halaal certificate for the villainy which Allah Azza Wa Jal has made haraam.

IF IN A CERTAIN AREA PEOPLE ARE READY TO ACCEPT ISLAM ONLY IF THEY ARE SHOWN A DRAWING OR PICTURE OF SAYYIDUNA RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM), THEN WILL THE MUSLIMS –NA’OODHU BILLAH- MAKE UP A PICTURE OF SAYYIDUNA RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM)?

IF SOME PEOPLE WILL, BY VIEWING MUSLIMAH DANCERS AND SINGERS PERFORMING, BE INFLUENCED TO ACCEPT ISLAM, THEN, FOR THE SAKE OF PROPAGATING ISLAM, WILL WE SEND GROUPS OF MUSLIMA DANCERS TO PERFORM FOR THEM?

WHAT KIND OF LOPSIDED THINKING IS THIS?
WHATEVER EVIL BECOMES WIDESPREAD IN THE WORLD, NOT ONLY DO THESE PEOPLE TRY TO MAKE IT HALAAL AND PERMISSIBLE, BUT THEY FEEL THAT WITHOUT IT, THE PROPAGATION AND PROGRESS OF ISLAM IS IMPOSSIBLE!…

FROM THE SEERAT-E-MUBAARAKAH OF SAYYIDUNA RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM) WE ARE TAUGHT THAT THE PROPAGATION OF HAQ MAY ONLY AND ONLY BE DONE USING MEDIUMS AND METHODS WHICH ARE HAQ.

IF FOR THE SAKE OF PROPAGATING ISLAM, ISLAM WOULD ALLOW SOME SORT OF BAATIL (FALSEHOOD) TO BE ADDED, THE SAHABAH (RADHIYALLAHU ANHUM) WOULD NOT HAVE UNDERGONE ALL THOSE SACRIFICES FOR ISLAM.
THE GREATEST TARBIYAT GIVEN TO THE MUSLIMS IN THE TIME OF SAYYIDUNA RASULULLAH (SALLALLAHU ALAYHI WA SALLAM) WAS THAT INSTEAD OF GIVING IN TO THE WRONGS AND EVILS PREVALENT IN SOCIETY, CONTINUE UNTIL YOUR LAST BREATH WITH SACRIFICE AND EFFORTS TO CORRECT THAT WRONG AND BRING IT ON THE CORRECT COURSE…
IF THOSE MUSLIMS HAD NOT DONE THAT, BUT RATHER SURRENDERED TO THE WRONGS AND EVILS PREVALENT, TODAY NOTHING OF DEEN WOULD BE LEFT IN ITS ORIGINAL FORM…

WE KNOW FOR A FACT THAT THERE ARE MANY OTHER RELIGIONS AND ‘ISM’S WHICH MAKE USE OF EVERY AND ANY MEANS TO PROPAGATE AND PROMOTE THEIR IDEOLIGIES… FOR ACHIEVING THEIR OBJECTIVE CONCERTS, DANCING AND MUSIC IS USED, PEOPLE ARE ENTICED WITH WEALTH AND BEAUTY, AND EVEN THE TEACHINGS OF THEIR ELDERS AND THEIR HONOUR ARE SACRIFICED…
BUT FOR THE SAKE OF PROPAGATION, ISLAM WILL NEVER ALLOW ALL THIS, SINCE THE OBJECT IS NOT JUST TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF MUSLIMS IN THE POPULATION REGISTER…

It is haraam for women to cut hair… Mufti Taqi


Haircuts For Women, an update

Update: I have to make it clear that I have never issued any fatwa for the permissibility of the hair cut prevalent among the modern women which has a clear resemblance with non-Muslims. The question frequently asked here in my country was that some women cut their hair from the lower side in the belief that it will help in speedy growth of their hair and will make their hair longer in future. Cutting of the hairs in this case does not exceed a few inches. Similarly, some women do this to equate the level of their hairs from the lower side. I was frequently asked about this type of cutting. Since it does not have any resemblance with men or non-muslim women which was the basic cause of prohibition according to Imdad-ul-Fatawa v.4, p.227, and Imdad-ul-Ahkam v.4, p.354, I replied that this type of cutting or trimming is permissible.

As for my answer that is placed at the website, I have to clarify some points:

It was a question received at email. Since the question specifically mentioned that it relates to that type of hair cutting which has no resemblance with men or non-muslim women, I presumed that the person who has asked this question knows and admits the impermissibility of the prevalent haircut which resembles with non-muslim women, and the conditions mentioned in the question ruled out this possibility. Based on this presumption I replied in affirmative subject to these conditions.
The answer was given through email privately on the above presumption and was not intended to be published, but now when it has been published and was misused in favor of that haircut which has clear resemblance with non-muslims I feel that I should have clarified it in express terms.
Especially, after reading the question once again, I noticed that there is a sentence in the citation from Shaikh Abdullah which might create misunderstanding and which was perhaps missed by me at that time, otherwise I would have clarified the issue at that time.

Now, it should be clearly understood that I have never issued a fatwa for the permissibility of cutting the hairs of women up to the shoulders or up to the ears, as is practiced by the European or American women, and in their imitation, by some others.
However, trimming the hair in order to make them grow quicker, or to bring them in a level in which there is no resemblance with men or non-muslim women is permissible. My answer that has been put on the website should be read in the light of this explanation.

Original question and answer follows.

Q.) I want to know the ruling on the hair cutting of women which involves:-

1. No resemblance with men.

2. No resemblance with Kaafir women.

3. Done with the consent of husband.

I have already heard of the general ruling on this subject that it is haram. But what makes me still ask the question is that the Arab Ulema including the grand Mufti of Saudia Sheikh Abdullah Bin Baz say: “We do not know anything (to disallow) cutting women’s hair. What is forbidden is shaving it. You should not shave your hair but you may cut it and reduce its length or volume; we know of nothing wrong with that.

But that should be done in a proper manner which will please you and your husband. You should come to some agreement with him on a kind of haircut that does not resemble kaafir women, because if you leave it long, it will be a lot of trouble to wash it and comb it.

So if the hair is very long or thick, and the woman cuts it to reduce its length or volume, that doesn’t matter. Cutting some of it will make it more beautiful, which will please both the woman and her husband. So we do not know of any reason to disallow that. But shaving it altogether is not permissible, except in the case of sickness. And Allah is the Source of strength.” (See Fataawa al-Mar’ah al-Muslimah, part 2, p. 515)

So I want to know the Daleel of Ahnaf by which they say this to be haram. Kindly guide to the solution which is most near to Qur’an & Sunnah. Also tell me the views of the four respected Imams on this issue. [Abdul Mateen]

A.) Given the three conditions mentioned in your question I am agreeable to the Fatawa of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Baz
